Sea Pines Home Exudes a Distinct Contemporary Coastal Style
As you consider building or remodeling, most people think first of the basics – flooring, cabinetry, wall color, etc. However, often times it’s the unique features of a home that make it stand out as something truly special.
A new town home in Sea Pines has several of those distinctive features that help to make it unforgettable. The home is very contemporary with several beautiful materials throughout – polished Quartzite, porcelain tiles, gorgeous granite and quartz products. The attention to detail is obvious.
You don’t even need to go inside to see the first amazing feature of this home – a spectacular pool with a corner fountain. The decking is wood look porcelain tile and the pool surround is a gorgeous 2 x 4 natural cleft Quartzite mosaic, in Carden Gold. The architectural brick travertine pavers help finish off the effect. And the louvered panel walls fold down or up for privacy.
The fireplace can be the focal point of any room – so why not make it stand out? This gorgeous Absolute Black Granite shows off the fire and the dark blue glass pebbles that the fire comes through. The wood cabinetry and hardwood floor in the living room is a great contrast to the fireplace.
Carrying on the contemporary look in the kitchen, the countertops are leathered Virginia Mist Natural Granite. The granite on the raised seating bar has a 2½ inches mitered edge, so the counter appears 2 ½ inches thick. It’s a great place to welcome guests while keeping them out of your prep area. And the almost iridescent backsplash behind the stove is a Walker-Zanger weave stix Pacific Glass.
This home office is "hidden" behind the kitchen. It’s the perfect work space, with good lighting and plenty of storage. The polished Black Pearl Granite countertop goes around the perimeter of the room creating an ideal little office.
One of the hottest trends right now is the morning bar in the master bath area. No need to go downstairs for that first cup of coffee or juice. This morning bar has a gorgeous backsplash created from stained glass and antique mirror mosaic tile, called Oceanside Devotion. A natural Pure White Quartzite product is used for the morning bar countertop.
